The Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea is Canada's public aquarium and learning centre for the Salish Sea. The Centre is dedicated to providing unique experiences that engage people of all ages to learn about, explore and conserve our precious Salish Sea Bioregion.
Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation
The Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation was founded in 1985 by a group of Peninsula residents who wanted to support their community hospital. Its mission is to provide up-to-date equipment and facilities to support the Saanich Peninsula Hospital in promoting healthcare excellence. In 2019, the foundation changed its name to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Healthcare Foundation to reflect its expanded mission to provide the best possible and most compassionate healthcare for every person in the community, and to enable access to health care services throughout the Peninsula and Southern Gulf Islands communities for every resident. The Foundation is incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia and is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency.
